I like realistic combat apparel. I tried some techniques to achieve a Desert MARPAT look. The process is there, I think a a different brown will look more like the reference though. I love the cut sleeve look. The arms I used with the Ult. Duke mold are KILLER with the Duke uppers. Let me know what y'all think!

Looks good to me bro. I live the color patterns on this. Where can I learn this process?

Very cool man. There are many combat uniforms for each service. But this MARPAT version is well done here! I wish I could achieve the Air Force ACU for my customs.
But a cool thing about the special forces community is that THEIR standard 'desert' uniforms are (pretty) much the same throughout the services - From Green Berets, to NAVY Seals, to PJs to Force Recon - They try to stay similar on the field so no man stands out. (Long story short) Cool uniform custom <(^_^)> |

Did you use a sponge for the camo? And if so, what kind exactly? Thanks!

You nailed it DavisT78! They're very cheap sponges from a dollar store actually, they are the only ones I could find with small enough pores to make it work. It took some different techniques to get the pattern to become realistic at this scale. I'd have to go back to search for the name of the brand that makes them. :(

That's ok, I'm pretty sure I know the exact ones. One of the first customs I ever did was similar to that. Process-wise anyway. She is an eyesore now but at the time I was pretty happy. Was it a round yellowish sponge?
