I just got the casted parts from Jesse in the mail the other day, but I've been torn between using that Jurassic Park figure or Road Pig instead.
I don't want to have to paint the flesh tone so with whichever figure I decided to use I'm going to be stuck with whatever his skin color is. Did you think that the Jurassic Park figure's skin was too dark, or just right? In any case he looks great! You did an awesome job on him! I think , while the road pig tone is probably closest to the original , the jp skin tone defines the muscle detail better and looks more realistic , not to mention how cheap you can pick him up for and the spare parts that you would have left over for maybe another project ? a couple of things to look out for if you do go down the Jurassic park route , firstly the screws in the legs were heavily corroded as if the figure had spent time underwater , the condition of the figure itself was perfect , I ordered 2 so I could keep one original for my collection. secondly , the gun, hammer etc were all twisted and contorted slightly , on both figures , I have noticed this is the same in the sellers photo's too if you look closely . if you wanted to make an African/American version , you could use either ris of cobra night adder or resolute roadblock as all these figures share exactly the same bodies (except obviously the heads are different). hope this is of some help |
