I feel your pain. Almost 50 and close up vision is GONE! It's tough getting old but it beats the alternative...

I hear you man, In my early twenties I could ink an entire comic page in a few hours up to the smallest detail with the smallest millimeter in pen and now not so much. I guess all those all nighters I pulled off took a toll on my eyes. I also dread the day my hands won't be as steady. That really will be retirement time.
I love your Zarana custom man. If I may ask, what is the rcipe for her? Top notch work man! |

Man.. I have more eye problems than I know what to do with.
I am a professional artist as well as a Diabetic... Two things that don't go well together. A couple years back I ntoiced a small blurry "spot" when I would look a certain way and went to see my eye doctor. She sent me to a retina specialits, and long story short, my Diabetes is causing blood vessels in the back of my eye to rupture and bleed. I had to have an injection in each eye to try and stop it. Needles in the eye sounds horrible, but going blind sounds A LOT worse. On top of that, a few years before the other problem started, I took a finger to my left eye and suffered a "severely scratched cornea" (my eye doctor's words) and every so often, as I sleep, my eyelid will adhere to the scar tissue from that and pull it off when I open my eyes in the morning. It is called Recurring Corneal Erosion and it will require laser surgery to fix it completely. I currently wear bandage contacts and a saline ointment when I sleep to stop it from happening. It still flares up from time to time, but it works well enough I suppose until I get the damn thing completely fixed.
