The Horten Ho 229 was a German prototype bomber built in 1944. It was the very first true Flying Wing powered by jet engines. It was designed to carry 2,200lbs of bombs a distance of 1,000 kilometers with a top speed of 100 kilometers per hour. By Christmas 1944 time was running out for the Germans and only a few prototype planes where produced. Today the only remaining Ho 229 sits in a U.S. Government facility where it's been for the last 50 years.
This is my Cobra version of the Ho 229 Horten Bomber. It's not an exact replica of course. I always like the way the Condor split in half but I thought it needed some improvements. Using only the rear section I trimmed down and covered where the gun halo attached then cut the engine down so it wasn't so long in the back. This is one of my most favorite WW2 vehicles done Cobra style.

The Horten is hands down my favorite aircraft of all time.
This is a beautiful rendition man. Very cool to see that plane in the back half of the condor. Props to you bro! |

Thanks Bud, This is my second attempt at this. Years ago I tried to build out the whole back and add engines along the side just like the original one. I used a ton of filler on it and it cracked and wasn't straight so I scrapped it. I think I will do a more accurate version some day, but this one is cool even if you just think of it as an improved condor.

That's fine work!
Vehicle customs can go terribly wrong but that looks like it came straight out off the factory floor.

This one really reminds of Flying wing. The paint work is smooth.
