The Predator helicopter is by far Cobras most advanced and heavily armed Cobra Helicopter ever. Designed to replace the aging Mamba The Predator carriers a front mounted twin 20mm armour piercing machine gun as well as two side mounted 9mm machine guns, a multi-shot rapid fire 3.5mm missile pod, 4 AEA short range missiles and 2 constant scan ion seeking missiles.
It's powered by MARS designed engine which includes 230 multiplex exhaust inhibitors with stage 2 afterburner system for high speed assault. The rotors are aerodynamic synchronized computer controlled blades. The real advantage of the Predator is even a Viper with minimal flight hours can fly it. This has been an ongoing project of mine for awhile. Based on the 1990 Dominator there is actually a far bit of scratch work in the base and the tail. The skis are from a Tonka toy, the wings and rear engine were added from the Dragon Fly. I used a Whirl Wind as the front cannon and added Rattler missiles. I thought of adding a tail rotter but everything I tried changed the shape too much or looked funny, I did build up the sides and gave it some more shape underneath. I may at some point change the rotars if I find something I like better. I personally feel this is my best customs to date, it's also my first ever helicopter. Enjoy the pictures.

My only critique is that the main rotor blades look like they need to be longer. Other than that, she is one fine looking beast!

I played around with different blades but ultimately felt the originals were best. However if I do find something wider in a two blade system I might change them. The issue is bigger blades you can't open the cockpits.

Looks good, much better as a straight helicopter rather then a tank/helicopter. I do not like the two separate cockpits but that is not your fault, I have never liked that part of the original vehicle design.

Love it. I don't think the blades need to be any longer but rather wider. Even so its still very cool as is.

It will also rid you of the need to shoehorn a tail rotor on when there really isn't a place for it. |
