Hi guys! Well...at this point I'm in a cobra army building and not so long ago I've got my Dreadnoks. (the main chapter: Zartan, Ripper, Torch and Buzzer)...And I was thinking what should I give them as rides. I knew that many of you guys gave them HotWheels bikes or other collectible ones in 1/18 scale...and even in comics they were riding choppers...But as I know - in the original cartoon they were mostly riding cobra Ferrets. Form me as an foreign guy - its hard to get them...so.. thx to this 2 customs, wich were my main inspirations: Oreobuilder's Blog: Cobra Island Security Checkpoint and Vehicles Custom trike - HissTank.com - G.I. Joe I decided to do this: DSCN3349 by HUNMARINE, on Flickr

Ok...so..this is what I've done:
Zartans trike: The main bike - is a HotWheels rolling Thunder. (the blue version with 68 sticker) REpainted and stickered up =P I took out his rear wheel...and added to garden water-tube connectors as a rear wheels. (the are cheap and has an excellent shape) - connected with the big sized toothpick. With drinking straws I rized a bit the handelbars. From the right side it has a rocket launcher and from the left - 2 barrelled MG. From rear - an old WWII ammo box with bullets =) DSCN3336 by HUNMARINE, on Flickr DSCN3337 by HUNMARINE, on Flickr

Buzzers Ferret:
Added a woodenbox and cutted place for his chainsaw. Also inserted a drinking straw so his gas-tank backpack can be attached there. Also added a big saw to the right side....Its from Generator Rex figure...I used his hand to make a hinged and movable hand for 25th Major Bludd...the saw attached to it - I used for this quad =) Of course a repaint too =) DSCN3324 by HUNMARINE, on Flickr

Torch's quad:
Added 2 barrels and a gas tank from the back, and attached a custom bigger flamethrower made from the same Generator Rex hand deatil and some trash ))) Also I made it removable..so while he isn't riding it..he can use it as a bigger gun instead of his own =) DSCN3328 by HUNMARINE, on Flickr

I love the personalized wheels. They fit each of the Dreadnoks perfectly.
Also the use of those hose rings is inspirational. I will be doing some looking in the hardware department for those as well as other things that may make good wheels.

Well..it was hard to build choppers for battles...so...I've tried out those custom Ferrets. I really liked this easy and cheap Ferret custom of OB...hope he won't be mad at me for using his great idea =)) Quote:
Now I need just make them transformable, right?))))) Quote:
And yes...in hardware department - you can find a lot of great things for Joes. Like mini hinges for vehicles...or as you said: hose rings....Well for the trike I used a plastic garden-tube connectors. I saw them in defferent sizes and shapes...with little dremeling you can turn them into awsome wheels. I hope you will find what you're looking for =)
