been out for a long time, so im a bit late on my dio shots (but i got a good reason since im finishing my customs ). since its summer here ill take these new figs tomorrow for a photo session. for now here are some of my new figs that ive been toiling for the past 4 months
tundra ninja recolored POC desert SS with a POC zartan Hood this is my first try doing a camo pattern. im making them as part of the arashikage clan specialized in jungle warfare. when my fodder arrives im making 4 more of these headhunters recolored renegades CC with beret been meaning to do this for a long time ever since ive seen these CC version. ill like to thank snowserpent11 for the purchase and for being patient in resending the package (cause it was lost in the mail and returned to sender) headhunter stormtroopers recolored 50th lowlight with beachhead helmet and head im still not happy with the helmet (still looking for a more appropriate skull themed head) but for now they'll do. |

ive been trying to fill my ranks of missing joes as well as adding some new blood.here they are.
L to R: Backblast, blizzard, Col. Vladimir (october guard), long range, mace, rock and roll, pathfinder Rock and roll head: Thor body: ret. ultimate flint legs: dg shipwreck webgear: modified roc televiper webgear i never really have a strong affinity to the ARAH design so when POC came i was pretty much blown away how the managed to modernized a character while keeping the essence of the figure in the sculpt. this motto is what drives me to customized these figures in a more modern setting. i put a army decal on his shirt then maintained the color pallet of the 1989 version to illustrate his army affiliation Long Range head: cast body: DG shipwreck hands: ret. storm shadow legs: ret. joe trooper helmet: ret. lift ticket i recently posted a querry regarding long range hair color http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...personnel.html with hilarious (but informative) answers. this is my first time painting eyes on a cast head. when i first saw ret lift ticket helmet i knew i would make either a long range or a battle force knockdown. now that ive finished long range knockdown is next on my list |

path finder
head: cast lifeline hat: indiana jones body: roc sgt. stone legs: roc trench coat SE webgear: roc desert ripcord i already made him a long time ago but i wasn't happy with sgt. stone legs (too skinny IMO) so i replaced it with a SE legs. the color pallet, i was gonna go for a full version 2 color pattern but decided that black pants looks cooler. mace head: 25th duke body: roc desert duke arms: bobsled firefly legs: roc storm shadow with him finished my SWAT division joes (codename C.O.G.) is complete. while Chuckles is the primo uno joe spy agent, mace is my street level agent. with connections to the mafia, drug dealers and sinister underworld hes perfect for my COG team Col. vladimir head: ret clutch body: POC spirit legs: renegades cobra trooper webgear: modified ret alley viper and ret. airborne i was making him with rock and roll in mind but i guess my mind just wandered too much with this guy plus i wanted to add a spetznaz desert operative for the october guard and the result is vladimir. havent made up a bio but ill get to it eventually |

now for a different flavor
ive been doing a mash-up of marvel characters that can be applied to joe universe. so far ive made the thunderbolts. im planning on adding some DC and Image characters but high on my list is this guy.... taskmaster (Udon version) head: roc SE with lips with green stuff sculpt whole body: resolute SE with some green stuff i freaking LOVE this design. it oozes with badassery. this is also my first time sculpting on a head. its a bit rough but for now im happy with the result. maybe ill redo him down the road but for now ill pair him up with my thunderbolts deadpool for some maximum carnage!! Star Wars Figs Darth Malgus Head: SW black Darth Malgus Body / Legs / Upper Arms: ROC accelerator suit Duke modified lower arms: SW black Darth MAlgus everything else: Darth Malgus i confess...im a SW fan myself. love the design and aspects of the characters but when it comes to toys im a bit lukewarm. its not that i hate them its just i hate T-Crotch designs. In this day and age this antiquated, primitive design should be laid to rest followed by straight body constructions. When i first saw the accelerator suits i thought they make great robocop / darth vader / astro viper parts. I havent done darth vader (yet) but for now this guy is finished (and hes having a primo battle with my first converted SW baddie Darth Maul) |

Star Killer
head: SW black starkiller body / upper arms / legs: roc elite viper lower arms: SW black star killer hands: ret. SE i freaking love SW the force unleashed, love it so much that i promised myself to get pass my hatred of the T-Crotch and get a 3 pack evolutions SW toys when i get a chance, but when the opportunity presented itself my hatred for that engineering design overcome me and i missed buying them. now that the black series has arrived i promised myself to give it a try cause they say they have greater details and added articulations. even these two is still not enough to get me over how i hate t-crotch, so i devised a plan to make starkiller the dextrous fighter that he should be. |
