This is a finished product and the following is the WIP thread that led up to it. There are more outdoor pictures I posted towards the end of this thread using the o-ring figures that are meant to be posed with the vehicle. Thanks to all that joined in on this journey, enjoy all. -
"I ended up with an extra Cobra Maggot piece from a lot I scored at a local toy show from a junkyard dealer. I later scored the (battle-tested) Iron Man 2 Rolling Battle head quarters from a thrift store. I decided to merge the two together for a custom mobile command center vehicle for my joes. I first chopped off the lift on the core vehicle. I cut a vitamin bottle in half and screwed it on to the rear part of the vehicle to hold in place and allow for 360' rotating action of the maggot. I also attached some ground effect trim pieces to it."

You need to make some kind of cab for it.

This mold is one of my favorite vehicles in the last 3 years.
Can't wait to see what comes from it with your custom. |

Will this be a Joe or Cobra vehicle? I think it would look great in Rattler blue if it's a Cobra. |

Ah man I wasn't expecting to get your eyeballs to grace my thread sir. I am completely humbled that you even commented. I would never take on those awesome joe/transformer hybrids projects you rock out. Tweaking out custom vehicles is just a hobby, I usually don't spent too much time on them. But you are correct on the mold I wasn't familiar with it but thought it was cool when I saw it, I hope I can do it justice. Especially knowing your watching LOL! (nervous laugh).

Maybe some sort of rollbar, like from the Tread Ripper might work to cover the driver's seat. Then at least you wouldn't have to worry about hinging it. You could always piece something like that together from some tubing.

Looks like an awesome start.
I would say just build one from scratch or watch for a piece that speaks to you and then transform it into the cab. You could make it flip forward or just lift off. I have one of these in the same condition which I am going to customize into the MASK Outlaw. So Mine is going to get a flat nosed doghouse style cab but you could construct a cab in a bunch of different ways.

I concur, with the previous posters. A canopy/ cab would help distinguish the front of the vehicle, plus add some practically. As fas as the turret, what are your plans?
