I think the part I'm talking about would be too long. I'm not familiar with the vehicle your using, but it looks like there's not much room around the driver.

The turret where the firing weapon goes will be tricky I think I know what I'm gonna do. It involves a piece of PVC cut and ran across horizontally where the guns will attach allowing for an up and down motion and side to side sweep. I'm curious, What's with the weathered look your referring to though?

Haunting words, even if I'm more of a quantity not quality type when doing customs. I looked over to my finished projects shelf and this debacle spoke to me it said "You never let me live up to my potential glory!". Even my wife of all people chimed in, she said "I like the little tank its cute". Don't get me wrong I felt complimented but, eventually I felt the need to incorporate the mean dog snout and go for broke on this particular project. I've used this technique before, when I combined two Thunder Machines cuz' the front end of one had one of its two pegs broke. I chop off whatever piece Im gonna use with enough flat space on it to use screws and fasten them together. Wish me luck.

They always talk to me while I am building, which is why my finished product is often very different then my starting intentions.
The Gator is a good example, I bought the RC Jeep but was disappointed to find out it was the wrong kind of plastic. My intention was just to modify the original seating area but due to the plastic type this was now impossible. I was dogged down because it would require me to build the entire seating area by scratch. Then one day I was at the thrift store and picked up a scrapped Diecast PT Cruiser. I do not work in Diecast but I usually take the seating area, motor and chassis out because they are all plastic and use them in builds and trash the diecast part. Anyway looking at it when I got home it occurred to me that the seating area resembled jeep seats and was roughly the right size. Perfect fit. I had no intention of doing anything with that build before that instant. Mean Dog front end on that should be awesome.

You should try and use the front wheels from the iron man truck. The mean dog ones just pop off.

Success! I'll admit it took a lot more tweaking to make it fit than I first thought but overall very content with the attachment. I also like the interior of the Mean Dog. (Miles Mayhem's paint scheme on his interior of his Awe(-yeah) Striker was very inspiring). I also freakin love the fact that Hasbro included diamond cut plating on both Joe pieces, I just took a silver testor marker to it to make it pop, its almost like they new years ago that the amazing detail they would incorporate into their vehicles would pay off for us customizers one day!

That's looking good. I know the Mean Dog had a turrent on that opening at the front, but would a covered one from a Rattler or Moccasin fit on that? It might help to differentiate it from a regular Mean Dog.
