Super High-Speed Attack and Reconnaissance Craft
The year is 1983 GI JOE scrambles to come up with ways to end the battle version the ever growing evil empire of Cobra. The Joes vehicle designers decide to build a vehicle that can take out the new Cobra Rattlers. The Sky Sharc is a vertical take off and landing craft equipped with two upper and two lower SK34 high-bypass turbo fan engines. It armed with twin 20mm Thunderclap cannons mounted under the cockpit and two 7.6mm machine guns on the wings. It also carries two signal-processing air to surface rockets. Upon further testing of the Sky Sharc it was decided it would be more beneficial to build two vehicles instead of one. By 1984 this lead to the creation of the Sky Hawk and the Sharc. This prototype vehicle is on display at the GI JOE headquarters. Over the years I've got so many broken faded and just junked Sky Hawks and Sharcs. I decided it would combine the two of them together to build a vehicle that look like it could actually fly. Originally I had the Sky Hawks engines mounted up higher so they could still pivot but I didn't like the look. I also used the Sky Hawks front seat so the pilot can sit upright.

I really like that. But then, I've always been a fan of the Sky Hawk and especially the Sharc. The Night Spectre stickers are a great touch.
The tinted canopy looks great, but I kind of wonder how it would have looked painted green. |

Thanks man. The stickers are from the Tiger Paw I just cut them down a bit. I thought of adding some green trim to the canopy. I thought cause it has an 80s futuristic look it would be cool to give it an old school WW2 theme.

It's Tamiya smoke spray tint. It works really well but I suggest testing it first. I do several light coats and really let it dry before you touch it. It also comes in blue, red, orange and yellow. I used the blue on another project it looks awesome. That canopy was from the Cobra version of the Sharc so it was a gross yellow colour to start with.
