Nighthawk, that's the gun belt from POC Hawk, correct? if so, how did you get off him and back on KH? did you have to take them apart? i haven't tried to open up an ME Joe yet, and i don't want to experiment to KH.

For most of those type of belts you simply remove the legs and then slide it onto the lowers torso. Sometimes you need to get the belt hot (using boiling water or a hair dryer) to make it more malleable and easier to fit into place. Thanks for posting this Nighthawk. I was interested to see if I would like the 25th Hawk belt mold better. I think I prefer the ROC Hawk belt I used. The color is wrong but I think it works well for it's purpose. Lots of ARAH characters have the dual belt - one straight and then one kind of a gunslinger angled (SE V2, Flint, Sunbow Shipwreck, Hawk V2, Tollbooth, Red Dog and Taurus come to mind). I have no idea if this was an actual military practice or just 80's toy designing. As a kid I just thought it looked cool. KH is no exception. In my attempt to make him more ARAH-tastic I tried to recreate the angled holster belt and switched out some gloved hands. Earlier I had some shiny Major Bludd tags too - but I think prefer the binoculars. Here's a link to the original: Keel Haul (v1) G.I. Joe Action Figure - YoJoe Archive Really with they'd used some different legs. Lots of good choices out there than these skinny old man legs. |

I might end up swapping the hands on mine too. I like it.
Yeah, I just had to remove Heavy Metal's legs (the belt was actually from him, not Hawk, they are the same mold though but the Heavy Metal one has a gold buckle). To fit the belt onto KH, I had to heat it up in hot water for quite a while to get it to fit over the pouches on his belt, oh and I had to remove KH's legs first too.
