Here is my Sky Crane finally. The rotor spins, the motor covers still come off, the cargo box is removable with removable benches and troop rack. It can haul 40+ troops. It has 8 cargo hooks in the top with 8 cargo cables for hauling stuff that does not fit in the cargo box along with a central crane. It has a one man cockpit and a cargo management deck.

Wow! Very cool! You know Cobra would have had a slew of these. Must be a short range one by the looks of the cockpit ;-)

I figure that cockpit should be able to do everything that needs to be done. I considered making a bigger cockpit but the trouble bubble was my inspiration for making this so since the whole project kinda rotated around the bubble I kept it. Might not work in real life but I think that it should work plenty fine in the Joeverse.

Unfortunately the paint is not perfect. Normally I can paint over spray paint with acrylics with out a problem but something about the chrome I used did not cooperate with the acrylics. Every time I painted it no matter how many coats it always dried with a bit of a crackle. You dont notice until you get up close. I finally gave up after like 10 coats and just called it good and clear coated it.

Yeah been painting this thing for like 5 days now trying to get it to cover. LOL Also in the process I discovered the Sky Striker wheels I had on back were not strong enough after I modified them to make them work, broke one off and fixed it only to break it off again so had to do a last minute mod to the rear wheels but it works, maybe even better, these wheels look like they could be motorized with a small electric motor to move the helicopter around on the tarmac.

Man this is amazing, perhaps your most ambitious custom to date. However I can't wait to see the plane finished

Thanks, I actually probably have less time in this one then a lot of the customs I make. I have some much bigger ones planned. I have a big boat/mobile dive platform started. I have two amphibious transports for vehicles, one tracked and one with 6 wheels started. Still have that huge helicopter gunship going will finish it eventually. Plus I have a huge personnel carrier that will be inspired by the Colonial Marines carrier, I havent started it yet but got most of the parts gathered going to be about 2.5 feet long and about 1 foot wide. Still need to get some PVC plumbing pipe to make a base frame to attach everything to like a backbone.
