first attempt. easy paint job. mistake was using enamel paint.

Enamel paints become really sticky on plastic, that is true, but a quick remedy for that is to apply testors clear coat dullcote spray laquer to it and it will seal it. Just take it outside to a very well ventilated area because the stuff is toxic (wear a mask if possible) then spray one quick coat on the figure, front and back. don't touch the paint because it will run so just let it cure. It will really help with all the sticky issues from enamel.

That's gorgeous! I prefer enamel to work with but the clean up is a pain and you burn through your brushes.
If you're ever in the NYC area check out the Met. On the first floor there is a lovely armory and there is a small nook of Samurai armor. One set is even on horse back.
