Bro this thing looks fantastic, I especially loved the engine. How long did it take you to build? I would love to see some outdoors pictures featuring this. Incredible work my friend.

Awesome job, but it does make me a little sad that it is made out of cardboard. It is definitely amazing but something this awesome with this much work in it should be made out of something a little more durable then cardboard. I understand what you were going for with free materials but next time promise me you will make it out of free plastic materials. LOL
A jewel pieces. But I can tell its pretty sturdy for a cardboard. Everything rolls smoothly and its playable. Sure it won't stand a hammer smash - but its nice - belive me =)...I understand that styrene and plastic are great materials...but pricey. I just tried to show everyone - that everything they need is all around. Some creative thinking...or now its called "vision" - and you can get anything and everything. Quote:
The engine - the main part is a used Hp 3420 deskjet cartridge, some box-wire, pencil and epoxy tubes covers, some cardboard and voila))) Well...it was a long run. The door hindges was rebuild twice...and such a things...so...with all the thinking...and painting - it took me from March 2013 until January 2014...10-11 months to build it. Sure under this time I did another things...so everything should be calculated.))... About outdoor photos- its hard to do it now. I'm not promise, but I'll try to figure it out some how. |

It is totally amazing no matter what it is made out of. You have a lot of ability. I could not make anything that looked that good out of cardboard.
Don't rule plastic out due to price. As I said I totally understand what you were doing here, but plastic can be just as cheap. Almost all of my vehicles were built with less then $10 in materials in them. Most of my vehicles are built with trash. I did buy some actual styrene but it was a 5 pound lot of left over scrap (essentially another builders trash) for cheap and those scraps were used in probably 15 vehicles. My current plastic is coming from a trashed shelving unit. I did recently buy some tubing from a Chinese seller but buying direct like that it was also cheap. 2000 inches for $30 It will probably be used in 10 to 20 vehicles maybe more but most of my plastic is trash and the vehicles I use are all purchased for less then $5 each. |
