This is a very great looking custom. I never really liked the 25th version we got, this guy looks tops. I know this thread is several years old, but I'd really like to know what you did to make the head look so much better.

I'd take that over the slit-wrist 25th Anniversary version any day. Bad-ass!

I'm still pretty bummed that we never got a better updated version of this troop. In my mind, Tele-Vipers are an integral part of the Cobra organization and in my modern collection I only have one from the Flight Pod vs. RAM Cycle set - a version I really don't care much for - and the Extreme Conditions Arctic Assault Squad 7-pack, which is a slight improvement but only good for cold weather environments. I've been trying to come up with a good easy and affordable custom recipe that I can replicate about 6 or so times but so far I haven't had much luck. Mostly due to the head/helmet; I just can't find an appropriate substitute. But also because I do like the design of the vest from that 25th vehicle 2-pack, but I don't think it was ever reused at any other point, so I'd end up shelling out $20+ per figure for that awkward Viper body and that unflattering headsculpt just to get the vest.

Wow, really great custom! A nice modern take on a Cobra classic.

Cool. Modern TVs were one of the more disappointing figures. Such a nice improvement.

Basically, the modification I did was fill the gap between the gogles and the helmet... and pain the headset a different color. That was it, if my memory serves me right. Quote:
