Making this figure was the reason I wanted to start making custom figures in the first place. I love Major Bludd, and all the ME versions are seriously lacking, so I decided to make my own. This is my first full custom figure, from cracking the torso, to selecting parts, to painting, adding washes, selecting and customizing weapons and accessories...even a very tiny bit of sculpting. It was definitely a learning experience, and I am looking forward to applying the lessons I learned on this one to my next custom. All in all, I'm very happy with how he turned out.
Major Sebastian Bludd is the ultimate opportunist. A professional warrior and soldier for hire, there isn't a brushfire conflict, civil war, or coup d'état in the last two decades that he hasn't been involved with...occasionally on both sides. As a professional mercenary, his reputation precedes him, commanding respect (and premium paychecks), and Major Bludd is ruthless in grooming his reputation. From his battle-scarred armor and polished riding boots to his ivory handled pistols (which he swears belonged to GEN Patton), every bit of Bludd's appearance is carefully groomed to exude panache and deadly confidence. Even the loss of an eye and an arm putting down a tiny rebellion have been turned to his advantage, giving Major Bludd his signature eyepatch and prosthetic arm that allows him to employ his unique and self-designed rocket pistol. Major Bludd is the best that money can buy...and he won't let you forget it.

To quote the General (at least George C. Scott's version), "They're ivory! Only a pimp from a cheap New Orleans whore house would carry a pearl-handled revolver."

I had to look up what Venture Bros. was to get what you were picturing, and I kind of see it, especially with the way the head sits on the body to give him that jutting jaw in some of the pics.

Looks good, bro. I really like your detail work with his scars and accessories. Additionally, the parts choices are cool and different. I didn't notice it until now; but, the girth of the Heavy Duty RIA lower arm looks good across from the ROC Footloose lower arm.

Thanks. I really wanted him to be a bigger and more imposing figure than the 25th versions. I also wanted him to have removable armor instead of the molded on armor, which adds to his size.

Really liking this version of Bludd, especially the smaller details on the weapons that were painted. My only critique would be that the body armor makes him look like he has a beer gut. Still a win overall.

I think part of that is the way I photographed him (I suck at photography), and part of it is how loose that HISS Driver chest plate fits on figures. I plan on taking a second look at him after he's sat on the shelf for a bit and possibly shortening the bottom straps on the armor to tighten it up against the lower torso.
