My experience with 1:18 Diecast cars is that due to everything being rigid they usually have to have the interiors severely modified to fit GI Joe figures. just food for thought. Also for play ready it can be hard to attach plastic to metal. Can get plenty strong of a bond for a Dio piece but the bond can often be substandard for play. Not impossible to do but a lot more difficult then plastic on plastic. Another thought is 1:16 scale plastic model kits. They too are expensive but gives you a little more room in the cab for plastic action figures that do not bend like a human body and hard plastic seats that do not give the way real seats give. Plus 1:16 is close enough (most of the time) in size to work with Joe vehicles which tend to fluctuate in scale from probably about 1:16 to 1:20. |

I picked up a Diecast pickup with missing wheels at a thrift shop. I ended up just totally taking the diecast top off and pitching it and using the chassis and undercarriage as the base for a scratch built vehicle. I would pick up another trashed vehicle just for the Chassis for cheap anytime I find one.
