Hi there!
Well...I'm at my first attempt of custom gear making. So I've started with this belt for my POC Wild Bill from the Dragonhawk box, in case of Hasbro left him without any holsters or even firearms. Everything is selfmade. The belt and holsters was made of the material used for vertical window blinds. We had some leftovers at the work so I've tried it. Sure some glue at the cuts will be needed but it is a pretty good material for this kinda stuff too =) Buckle - from the woman's bra =P Bullets - mini zipper line. Guns: both was made by my method of epoxy copying http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...hunmarine.html It was made as a copy of the Taurus/Bull's revolver from the 7 Mardeur set. The bright one (I call it "Quickshooter" =P ) - the same copy but the barrel end was flown away while I was cleaning it..ehehe =)...so its a bit shorter than the original. The black one - is a 100% copy. Thx to flash on my Nikon - after the paint now it definetly look like "crap"...and has those beatufil "sh*t" color. Well in real life this brown - looks much darker and prettier. Anyway - thx for watching. Hope you will like it. P.S.: The toothpick revolvers - was just a first my attempt of weapon copy before the epoxy method =) |

Agreed! This is pretty great considering its made from random household items...it makes me want to look into my tool box and a box of random electronic leftovers and see what could be used.
Thanks for sharing! |

Thank you guys! =)
I'm glad you like it my friend. Thx! Well with this belt-buckle its a bit hard to always take off and put on the whole belt, so when I realized that it can fit inside the vehicle - I was really happy with this addition =P... It's my main philosophy. Sure - using pre-made or pricey equipment like styrene for customs - give a more greater look to your customs. I know that my customs looks cheap and somewhere dirty...but it works well =)...I really like using household stuff, cause: 1. you can always find fast the needed details/stuff or made your own. 2. its cheap...sometimes free as a leftovers from boxes as so on. 3. it makes growing your creative talent =) Quote:
Sure...check your box, I can assure you that you will find a lot of great gear for making dios and some gear. I saw somwhere over the forum, that somebody used those huge springloaded oversized weapons as a material of structures of his joe base-diorama. Even wires can be used for so much things....Be creative =) |
