These are for my friend for Christmas.
Rand and Chapel as they appeared in Star Trek the Motion Picture, though done in a yellow matching the Mego figures instead of the toffee color of the actual movie uniforms. M'Ress, is also thrown in as she might have appeared had she been in the movie. Last edited by Clockwise; 09-11-2020 at 12:30 AM.. |

To go along with Rand, I made this image which will be printed out as part of the packaging.
The image is obviously photoshopped, but it's not just a work up of two regular figures. I made two warped pushmold figures and painted them blue with silver flake paint. The photoshop effects are done over that. Last edited by Clockwise; 02-06-2014 at 12:24 AM.. |

Did you hand paint the eyes, eybrows and hairline? If so those lines are almost immaculate. Very sharp.

Thanks, guys.
Yes, everything on the figures is hand painted. I often use spray paint for the base/uniform color, but spray paint wouldn't stick to the plastics. I tried a few tricks, but I ended up having to hand paint the uniforms. That yellow is a pain to work with. It's one of the few Folk Art colors I've found that isn't consistent. |
