i'm going to put this into my top 3 favorite custom cobra figures of all time.....all 3 of them !
when you finish painting the figure do you do a clear flat coat or something ? i've seen you work here and in person and the tones just look flawless ! |

Thanks again guys, sometimes I wonder if I should go through the work of taking pics and posting but seeing other collectors maybe enjoy them a bit makes it worth it.

Thanks CG, no I don't use sealers. i wouldn't say I'm anti-sealer but I definetly think that unless you contanstly posing/playing with the custom ( myself I just pose and display) they do more harm than good. I've seen many a custom posted here with a real nice paint job that was ruined by sealer. Overspray builds up in the details like folds of clothes and nullifies a crisp paint job. If your custom has sheen and your trying to dull it your better off tossing your shiny paints and switching to a brand that has matte finishes. nothing protects your paint better than proper prep, washing, sanding joints, thin coats, glue protecting etc... thats more words than I usually type in a month, [ hops of the soap box] |
