since i'm pretty much immobile nowadays, i figured i oughta go ahead and finish up some of the customs i've been planning...as always, comments and criticisms alike are welcome!
toxo-viper helmet, head, collar, backpack and weapon: taterbot casts body: renegades airtight using an awesome cast from taterbot...i tried to go classic with him, but the red gloves just didn't work for me. tried to update his colors a little bit...still not really happy with him. i blame the cow-head looking helmet... annihilators head: dg storm shadow helmet: roc aqua-viper officer webgear & lower legs: roc aero-viper torso & upper legs: retaliation ultimate snake eyes arms, backpack & weapon: 25th specialist trakker another time where i originally intended to follow the club's recipe...but the clear visor didn't work for me. also, i thought switching out the upper legs and arms just plain old looked better. classic muskrat head: cast of the club figure torso & webgear: roc aqua-viper officer arms: bbts gnaw hat: roc pit trooper legs: poc commando snake eyes i dig the night force version, but still prefer the classic. now i can have both in my display! and...what i lovingly call my "you-guys-stay-here-and-guard-the-base-vipers.": raptor figure: poc zartan headgear: cast of vintage raptor headpiece wings: mu angel backpack: roc neo-viper& airtight webgear: dg snake eyes & resolute 2-pack destro mask: poc zartan goggles, roc pit trooper gas mask, roc para-viper air hoses i always liked him when i was young...he was just weird enough to be cool. so i tried to give my update a little dignity. i wanted the wings to look like painted, scratched metal...need to take a second shot at them. i also added the webgear, airtank and breathing mask to add a bit of realism to a guy wearing wings... crystal ball head: mu doctor strange torso, lower arms, right lower leg and feet: bbts zanzibar upper arms: 25th 5-pack zartan upper legs: bbts gnaw left lower leg: 25th blade destro anyway...that's what i got for now...back to the workshop... |

I dig them . Big time. Appreciated the parts breakdown and the short commentary, think I want to add a little commentary to mine in the future, if the Lord's willing. Personally, I like wacky character customs like crystal ball.

As my 10 year old son would say: "That Muskrat is Boss!"
Very cool, I prefer yours to the night force, but by a margin of .05... Guess they can have two different set ups... night and classic. Great stuff. |

funny, isn't it? i've had the parts for him sitting in a bin for a couple years (and the wings for a year), but there were always more "worthwhile" figures i wanted to do...and then the freakin bird man ended up being one of my most fun figures to do!

As a kid, I thought Raptor was one of the more ridiculous and 'over the top' figures but, this custom turned out really well. I would buy that at retail.
All of the other figures are cool too. |
