Every piece of this diorama was imported from Japan. The hanger itself is actually several interlocking dios that mainly consisted of a floor and one wall, each with a different design, depending on which one you got. I can't, for the life of me, remember the specific name of these, but they were meant to be generic "mecha anime" backdrops for whatever giant robots you wanted to display. They came molded in a very basic gray color with no other detailing whatsoever. It's up to the customizer to decide how it should look.
For this, I went with a Macross or Gundam kind of feel. I used vinyl modeling tape for the caution markings on the deck plates, and slide-off decals from various Yamato Macross toys. The mecha in these shots is a Robot Damashii M9E Gernsback "Mass Production" Armslave being prepped for combat. |

Been trying to save for these, but keep finding cheap troop builders instead. I would love to get 30 to 40 pieces to build an HQ from.

Looks good. I'm going to buy another 6 now! Which if you're wanting to buy these, usually buying in bulk is the way to go, and you need to have a bunch to snap together for Joes anyway.

Their interlocking design would allow you to stack walls on top of walls to expand them to accomodate pretty much any size of mecha. But to use these bases with a 16" figure, that just means you'd have to get three times the number of them that you'd use for a 3.75" to 6" figure.
