WAIT WAIT WAIT… before you start bashing the hell out of this figure, I want to explain the objective. I took this Serpentor and put it in RIT dye on the stove. I used black and a lot of it to make the figure “blacked out” BEFORE I start custom paint apps. After 1 hour of dyeing, I removed the figure to find an odd find. It appeared that the figure displays patterns of forest/dark green in places that make the figure much more appealing in appearance. Does anyone have experience in RIT dyeing and have you gotten these results? By the way, the finishing is much more solid than I anticipated. Impossible to rub/chip off and is smooth like glass. I think better than Hasbro’s final paint app. (Wish I had a better camera to share the quality. The dust/powder is from the compressor I used to remove the remaining dye. It comes off leaving a fresher appearance. RIT dye is amazing!!!

So, it's not done yet? Am I understanding that correctly?
Regardless, I think it looks pretty cool.

Thank you. the original plan was to break it down to one color blacking it out. but after i rit dyed it now having the forest green touch, i am thinking about leaving it. i like how this mistake came out

Nice job! I want to learn how to dye a figure. It'd help me make my figures more playable.

Very interesting. Did you drop the whole figure in as is, or did you remove the gear first? What temperature did you have the stove set on, and for how long before turning it off? Any noticeable shrinkage? I'm sorry about all of the questions, but inquiring minds want to know.
