This is my RHINO it was made from a Joe R.H.I.N.O
the turret is from the GI Joe dominator tank, the cannon is made for sockets wrench parts, the wheels RC Truck tires, the bumper a old RC Jeep, the head light (functional) from reading lights, and i engineered the suspension using some RC truck pars and some springs so all four tires can turn and absorb shock. Love the vehicles and love the style.
A recommendation would be putties and sand paper. The construction splices on the first one are really rough and apparent. Have you looked through the post on general customizing about scratch building? He is scratch building a fan boat but more so he has alot of good information about plastic types and bonding agents for different types of plastics. |

I'm not very familiar with putties do you have any recommendations? |

If you are using hot glue then you definitely want to go check out that thread.
You want to be using a chemical weld bond. Kinda like testors model glue but stronger. He recommends Bondine. I have not got any of it yet but he swears by it. I currently use Multipurpose plumbing cement. It is a little sloppy and requires sanding but gets a good plastic to plastic weld on both polystyrene and ABS plastics. Also I would suggest using putty to fill in the screw heads so they dont look like huge screws on your vehicles. |

Your vehicles are just too cool and heavy duty to be putting them together with anything less then a chemical weld cement.
