I recently purchased a vintage Real American Hero vehicle: Destro's Razorback.
Like I said on Flickr, while its golden tone isn't quite a perfect match for good ol' Adventure Team yellow, it nonetheless looked to me like a lost Adventure Team vehicle, with its unlikely shape and its delightful bubble. I removed the missiles and replaced them with the claw-arm from two Pursuit of Cobra Steel Marauder mechs to make it less a war machine and more of a pulpy, early-'70s exploring vehicle. Someday I will add some Adventure Team logo decals to make it pop. (For now it still has the Destro logo). For this next photo, I used various Pixlr tools to create the sense of an old, faded page from a catalog; indeed, the text is taken almost verbatim from a scan of a vintage Adventure Team catalog I found online. For now the mech arms are held in place by minor friction: I may add a dab of hot glue to secure them. In the meantime, I did a number on my thumb and forefinger trying to remove the screws from the mech arms to do away with the pieces that attach them to the mech's body. When money isn't in such short supply, I may get a vintage Pogo and use it for an Adventure Team vehicle as well. Last edited by Monte Williams; 03-15-2014 at 10:33 AM.. |

Thanks for the kind words, everybody!
Also, as I have giddily noted elsewhere: Quote:
