Not having any "petite" upper arms that are bare flesh sort of limits what you can do with Zarana. I'm hoping they eventually make her, but I don't mind a husky Zarana so bad as I would mind a burly Lady Jaye, Scarlett, Baroness, Cover Girl or Jinx. I think Zarana may be a tranny, anyways. Haha. |

Yeah, the kit's got a long torso, which is a lot "thicker" than the other women, and the upper arms could be about 80% the size, but it's what I had to work with.

Nah man, I like that she's bigger. Most women don't have supermodel figures, and honestly if you took away say.... Lady Jaye's weapons and put her up against an opponent with equal hand to hand skills but is bigger, Lady Jaye's gonna break in half. But yeah, Zarana is a little suspect of tuckin'.

Mandingo. I like it. I like the paint scheme you applied too. The shoulders are (to me) what gives her the HUSKY look. The height isn't so bad. Though I think in the story the twins were shorter than Zartan (at least that's how they were drawn). Her upper arms are the manly part to her both from front view & back. I think the shoulder armor is scaled too large. If there were a way to minimize that I think you've got it all in place. But it works either way.
Great job.

I like the paint and design very much, but she lacks junk...in the trunk.
Your work on it held up very well. Good job. |

Thanks guys. The "extra sculpting" can be credited to Mad Joe, I don't want to take credit for his work. It should say "Mandingo Rex's/Mad Joe's" 25th Zarana, because it's his masterwork, I was just the assembled and painter of existing parts.
Yeah, I wish the shoulder pads were smaller, the upper arms stick out from the sculpt a tad much and are a little huskier than I'd like... Perhaps Lady Jaye (5-pack) uppers with plates sculpted on would work best? I think Mad Joe did a great job sculpting the butt too, she has on low-rise jeans and a lot of people have given her "thick" legs from the Ripper figure, which doesn't help her ass, it just makes her upper legs look like tree trunks and actually minimizes her rear. I think it's because of her broader upper body and "fuller curves" (you have to be careful how you talk about the ladies, haha) that make it seem like she ain't got any junk, but it's there. Maybe not as nice proportionately as the Baroness, but she's got some ass. I think she may have a better chance of having some junk in another place, as big as she is. Haha. |
