trying to work out the logistics of this, It is perhaps one of the hardest things I have ever tackled, My first doubts are:
1) Proportions? It is challenging to find transformers big enough that fit vehicles and, most importantly, that fit figures (which is the motif of these customs) 2) A bit hesitant to deviate too much from Transformers canon and change around established characters for the sake of making this work. Although it may be necessary. 3) Gulp! how do I make them attach to each other? Ideas are welcome. Quote:

well...remember tf revises characters and changes looks every so often. ravage looks nothing like he's suppose to in the movies:P
seems as long as the colors and stickers match u r free 2 take artistic license albeit if the vech looks like the proper 1 either joe/tf then the robot shouldnt as long as it looks good. ///which seems u have no problems doing

Love this. Loved Dr Vile's work as well. So...
How did you do it? What was the base transformer used? Or was it bits of different ones? I really want to bring Transformers into my verse and this would be a start cause it's bloody freaking awesome! |

The base body was a movie bludgeon (revenge of the fallen, he looks like a skeleton samurai) The vehicle was a G.I. Joe Armadillo (25th anniversary) all the parts came from those two toys You may need to cut the vehicle in a way that it will fit the frame of the transformer and at the same time will fit in vehicle form. I think the best thing you can do is use a lot of observation. Look carefully at the toy, look how it could fit visualize it transforming back and forth. Sketching how it will move how each moving part will fit into your custom. If it helps look at the pictures carefully and you will notice the cut marks. I use Testors spray paint for the red and Model master Acrylics for the detailing. Hope this helps man I look forward to seeing your work Last edited by phantro; 07-15-2013 at 02:22 AM.. |
