I continue to be speechless. Great work. Just one hint: Once I wanted to extent a diorama into the kitchen and that desire provoked an unpleasant reaction of my normally understanding wife. Therefore, be careful with your available space.

I've already loved this multiple times in this thread but I can't stop. Every time I see an update this is just the coolest thing ever. I would love to have it now just as a display to mess around with. I think if I had something like this as a kid my head would have exploded!

The fact that it is populated by so many different lines old and new just add to the coolness factor.

Nah, it's all cool at my house. My wife is extremely awesome with me building what I want. It's basically all contained within our playroom anyway and I have free reign to create whatever I feel like in there. I have enough common sense to not build a droid factory in the master bathroom. And the playroom turns into a main attraction for visitors to see a miniature sci fi underworld slum environment. Plus if our friends bring their kids then it's an even bigger event. The kids drop down and immediately start having adventures. Sort of like the what you'll usually see with a group of kids at the wooden train table sets at Toys R us........only here it's with miniature alien prostitutes, spaceships and dirty porta-potties.

Here are a few work in progress shots of the wall/ceiling greebles, antenna towers, panels etc. I just make random wood panels and add a few nodule bits to them. Once painted and sanded they look like some gritty industrial techno mess and they get mounted to the wall or ceiling to add to that megacity underworld look.
