I saw the guy that posted his HHH Hollywood Hulk Hogan ,so I had to post this. This was one of my very first customs. It is supposed to be an android.I call him Double Trouble. Originally it was just a Hiss driver with Cobra Commanders head and the gun arm. I remember my Dad drilled the hole in the arm for me . I was about 11 or 12 at the time.
He under went a few paint jobs over the year and a new body around 1987.About 15 years ago I tried to strip the paint off it but gave up. This is a true old school custom. Hope you enjoy. Last edited by Blood Brigade; 07-15-2013 at 02:02 AM.. |

I like that. I love seeing vintage customs, especially those from our youngster days. So innocent yet so effective and very important to our stories. I may have to dig out some of mine from the 80's and show them. They aren't much to look at, but made great use of birthday party doubles and broken figures back when finding Joes was a hard task most days and when you are working with a 10 year old's budget, concessions need to be made. Thanks for sharing this, too bad we don't have a dedicated thread here to showcase some of everyone's vintage days kit-bashes to create new and exciting characters.
