I had a friend dremel out the helmet for me. I did the holster with an exacto blade. Basically after hollowing it out, I heated it up and put the helmet onto a head that was slightly bigger than Flash's to stretch it out (use a spy troops one, otherwise if you use the ball joint ones of 25th style, you may never get the helmet off the head).

I warn you, it's a tight fit. Even I have troubles removing it and putting it back on sometimes.
