for complex vehicles, i take pictures before i take it apart so i have something to reference when putting back together. this has saved me some frustration in the past.

The turrert was the part I was refering too. I also Had to cut some of the wheel mounts to allow the wheels to even come off was a pain. Not certain If actually got the turret mechanism back together correclty enough for it to operate like it supposed too but it is for dispaly purposes anyways so not really a concearn to me.
The first set of wheels in the front and back are connected to silver axels. The rest are plastic molded to the frame which act as standoffs for the wheels to mount too. There were specific places for each wheel, there were 2 that had deeper recess inside the wheels and then the rest were all the same for both sides (think these were directly behind the front axeled wheels). The specific ones only mounted to specific stand off which helped identify where it needed to go back to, would not fit correclty on the other stand offs. I think thats what your referring too? They are not all exactly the same and if you take them off you will notice what i am saying, hard to explain without dismanteling it again LOL. i never take the wheels off. if they get painted a different color i just mask them off. it's not much work with cut up plastic store bags and some tape.
even if they come off on the new mobat, i'll just mask them off again to save the time/effort. once the top cover is off, there is ample room to paint them while still attached. this is as far as i took it with disassembly. judging from cobracrimson's only picture, i assume he took the wheels off?

Yes I did take the wheels off and now I can't remember which ones went on the 2nd & 3rd pegs on the front. I have the 6 that are the same on towards the back and now the 2 that have the shallower recesses(just like the back 6 but not as deep of recess due to longer/thicker to a point pegs upfront) and the other 2 that have the shallow recesses but also have the points on the outside middle that go into the tank tracks/treads holes are what is the problem, I don't know which set goes first, I think it's the ones with the points to give the treads more stability and to help keep them from coming off but not sure. Arch, do you have any closeup pics of the wheels on your Cobra blue Mobat or could you tell me which set goes first by looking on yours? I can't really tell by the pics so far.

I just checked the 25th UBP Mobat pics on yojoe and they go in the 2nd location behind the axle set in front. The vintage Mobat is a little different from the UBP version, mainly the battery cover and I don't think the vintage one has the second set of points on the boggies, just the first & last axle sets have them on them.

No problem buddy, thanks for the pics though. What color blue did you use on that Cobra tank?

Here's pics of the finished Crimson Guard C.F.P. (Crimson Flight Pod). Started out as a Target Exclusive UBP Cobra Commander blue Flight Pod(Trouble Bubble) Notice in the second pic I changed the CC marking on the side below the glass bubble to CG for Crimson Guard insted of Cobra Commander.

Crimson Guard Cadet. While I was watching the cartoon series on dvd, I got the idea from the episode with Cadet Demming in it trying the mind control machine on Shipwreck. I think a CG Cadet Demming is going to be in the works now too along with a couple more trainies.

here's some updated wip pics of the Crimson Guard U.A.H.T. (Urban Assault Heavy Tank). I don't know if you can see them but I have drawn in pencil the camo pattern that will be black, just not sure which black I'll be using. Gloss or Flat? The Burgandy is gloss but not overlly glossy like normal, kind of a brighter satin. The black on the treads on the front fender is gloss for refference color.
