Hey everybody,
LONG time lurker, first time registrant. I've been bitten by the custom bug lately, as the lag time between waves has me a bit bored. The Range-Vipers have always been my favorite Cobra troopers (my ten-year old self loved two things dearly: Joes and horror movies; when I walked into Target in the spring of '90 and saw a Cobra agent with a SKULL MASK, I was sold a hundredfold), but I was a bit turned off/let down by the new sculpt and 25th figures. I was inspired by AngelForge's AMAZING card-art accurate headcast to try and put together a figure that was a bit more accurate to the vintage look while also maintaining some 30th-style newness. I hope you dig 'em! |

Way to break in, brother! Those are fantastic. The paint job reminds me of looking at the old White Dwarf magazines and being amazed at the way people paint space marines. I never got the RV bug because they scared my little brother. And somehow Skeletor didn't. I'm emailing him these now!

That head sculpt is phenomenal, and cleanly painted as well.
edit: I'll go one step further and say the head looks factory painted & I appreciate the higher resolution of your pictures, which always make even the smallest flaws apparent.

I still don't have a modern Range-Viper, and now I won't be happy with anything less accurate and great looking than these ones!

bump for awesomeness. I really dig the parts choices, esp. the legs.

I wish the modern versions had the brains look on their heads like the Vintage, they look creepier that way.
Nice job! |

I sigh in relief they don't have the new crappy helmets and skinny alley viper legs. |
