Back in like 2003, i came across a website were a guy was reproducing viper heads. Does anyone still do this or any other type of reproduction molds for G.I. Joes? If anyone has any sites to share? There are tons of sites out there with tutorials with general mold making but doesn't get specific enough to know what material to use with our action figures, etc etc.

Try Alyosha's site Broken Arrow Toys when it's back up after the re-stock.
Trigate Creations has a bunch of cool parts to choose from too. You won't find much in terms of repo parts because of copyright laws. Alyosha, Olocden, and Bantha5 can probably help you with finding the right materials for molding and casting. I've only used Alumilite products so far. I hear Smooth-on products are really good. |

Best stuff to use is smooth-on
For the rubber, I use mold max 15-T For the plastic, I use 327 colormatch These are both available at smooth-on website, and you can get them in a trial size. What to do after you have them, well thats the hard part, but if you need help, just hit me up in a pm and we can work something out. Dave |
