I want to lower my BATs head because it seems too high to me but I really want to maintain if not improve the articulation of it as well... Can I simply slim down the entire peg, dremel out the head so that the ball sits deep inside the head then put vasoline on the balljoint and fill the head with hot glue and push it down into place? Will he still be capable of looking up and down easily or is it going to kill the articulation? Would it be better to just cut a section out of the middle of the neck and glue it back together? thanks everybody. Im clueless when it comes to this, I have done different methods and none of it has worked perfectly for me except for something that took a really really long time and a lot of effort.

you can use the hot glue method... I've done that a number of times, it really works well, just don't dremel after you put hot glue in, use a knife if you have to take it out, lol.. when the dremel tool gets hot, it's like it just eats the glue and then the glue just coats the tool.. :( nom, nom, nom... goood glue...

I've tried both cutting down the neck and drilling into the head. Both have worked alright for me. I prefer now to drill into the head as opposed to cutting and re-gluing the neck ball. (One time, the neck ball popped off and got stuck in the head.) I've only had one figure with articulation problems as a result of drilling, but I haven't exactly spent much time trying to resolve the problem.

You'd have to really thin out the chin area of the BAT head, and depending on the sculpt, it might not be doable.. thank hasbro for that design flaw. Basically the in/underside of the chin stops the head from looking down when it hits the neck peg.

thats why I was talking about sliming the neck and yeah, Id dremel the bottom of the chin as well so that he has a lil more motion but I still feel like everytime I do the hot glue method it prevents looking up and down....
