That Vamp looks very nice. I am always in awe when someone makes a Python Patrol Custom. Your Vamp is really good.

Looks great arch! I remember you talking about trying a PP custom and it got me thinking about it too. I have so many customs in the works right now though it will be awhile before I get to it. Kind of a pain in the butt doing the pattern and masking them off? How many custom vehicles do you have now? It seems like you have at least one for every faction and I see new ones every day that you've done. Your Rattlers are my favorites still and I'm impressed with your custom vehicle armies, are you planning an invassion in the near future?
an accurate count of custom painted vehicles would be 30. they are spread out across several rooms and i'm sure atleast one or two are tucked away in some mock battle field by my son. if i'm not careful, my son will lead a crimson guard rebellion! we have more cg vehicles than any other faction. takes after his dad

it was more intimidating than actually difficult to do if that makes sense. the most difficult part really was making sure the grid of tape overlapped perpendicular to the other lines. when facets fold and bend it gets tricky as in the front hood where the fenders fold down to the hood, etc. if i were to do another i would make the mask stripes a fraction thinner.

Awesome! I think it's great you and your kids do these together like that. Great family time man and they like playing with them more because they had a hand in the outcome of them and no body else in the neighborhood has one of these versions! Do you have any Iron Grenadier customs or Dreadnok customs?
they are unique and that too endears them to us much more than another factory repaint ie; any of the hiss tanks, flight pods, sharcs, awe strikers and rattlers. we now have a small cabinet where we keep many of them that are not in immediate use. it's just to make sure they last a bit longer and bits and pieces don't get lost. we take them out and put them back as needed/desired. like checking an army squad out of the library yes, i already have iron grenadier stickers that i bought ages ago. i just have not found the right vehicle i guess. i think the artic hiss or stinger honestly would make the best base vehicle and i'm waiting for these for several other custom ideas. i honestly had not thought about dreadnoks but maybe the stinger will be the best for that as well.

Great job! I love the effort you put into this. I've heard of guys using mesh (like from an old football jersey) to get the PP pattern, but I don't think it would be as exact as what you've done here. I'm always inspired by all of your custom vehicles, but my paint skills are pretty suspect, so I never actually take the dive.

Paint job looks nice and clean...only thing I can offer advice-wise is go with a smaller diamond pattern.
Not sure what you used for the pattern...but I have found that those "sweater dryer bags" sold in most dept. stores housewares depts are the perfect size for the pattern. Other than that....looks great.
