Technically speaking Zandar would be in his 50's I'm assuming.

For those not familiar with Next Thirteen, the basic idea is GI Joe in the future. I never read the comics (but I still know about a few things in them). The cartoon was inconsistent, silly & made for 8 year olds. The movie . . . I might draw an inspiration or two from it, but otherwise I ignore it. Basic facts are the same - original team from the eighties, used car salesman, 'nam, Destro/Baroness romance, Scarlet/SE, etc.. But I don't mind contradicting details. Anyway, advance to some time in our near future. It's time for GI Joe to reform & kick some evil-doer ass.
Okay, tell me if this flies as a tie-in to my Next Thirteen project. Zandar's weak spot was his paranoia. One of the most common tasks he was assigned was kidnapping scientists. On one mission, he patted down & pocketed everything the target had on him as usual, including a key & a piece of paper with an address scrawled on it for a climate-controlled self-storage fascility. Seeing an opportunity, Zandar kept this info to himself. Inside the storage unit was a sleep suspension chamber. To his mind, Zandar had found himself the perfect escape route if the need should ever arise - essentially a ticket to the future. I'm not sure just yet what the exact events were that pushed Zandar into actually using the suspension chamber, but that's where he's been the last thirty years until the storage company sold the lot. Now Zandar is out and awake. The aging effects of thirty years in suspension are curiously inconsistant. Medically, Zandar is now fitter and healthier than he has ever been before in his life. Yet he obviously appears more mature than when he entered. This stornger, healthier body, this bolder, more mature appearance, this knowledge that he is not in the shadows of a notorious sibling has boosted Zandar's confidence & ego to new heights. Zandar's one weakness was his paranoia. Was. As someone on the Tri-Gate Creations forums said: Quote:

I like the older and more aged look...gives it alot of character, which frankly Zandar needed.

Nice work. I like how this Zandar doesn't look like some silly Hippie.
