I'm not sure how you prepped the vinyl tape but be aware temperature change loosens the glue. Even if you use super glue, the original adhesive will loosen after awhile and separate from the adjoining vinyl or super glue. I found that out the first summer after making several customs with vinyl tape. I would fold the tape over itself with super glue but it would still loosen.
I tried using acetone to loosen the glue off before super gluing but it makes the tape thin and tacky as it starts dissolving the vinyl. I just wanted to warn because you did a very good job with it and it looks great. Personally, outside of the shine, the vinyl looks better than the micro canvas for certain parts. |

GR-
These look really awesome. What did you use to make the entrenching tool? That's a really awesome touch to a great looking set up. |

Thanks everyone!
All of the adhesive is removed with Goo Gone, before I start cutting the tape. It doesn't harm the vinyl, and it removes all the stick um. I'm debating whether I want to paint it. My paints always seem to develop a sheen, after they've been handled a bit. Might just give it some flat clear, and be done with it. I've already done some tests, and found that the tape takes paint, great. |

Goo Gone's good for all sorts of stuff. Even used it to take the white mark off one of our cars' mirrors, when somebody got a little too far over while pulling into the garage. |
