By the way, I need to say besides Wry1 (where are you, buddy!?!), I was heavily influenced by other amazing (and much better) Baroness customs by Rateeg (Battle Damaged Baroness), Lance858a (Beautiful Resolute Baroness & WWII Baroness... also, thanks again for the head!) and ceraurus, amongst others. Also, I thought the legs looked funny at first but didn't give it a second thought. After that flaw was pointed out, it was all I could see (I've made the same mistake). With the fix, it looks so much better! Again, nice work.

My salesman approach would be to say the Baroness would frown upon a bright red Cobra sigil painted on her chest because that just doubles as a large bull's eye for Low-Light to aim at. So yeah, we're sticking with that explanation for now... Last edited by orezona; 05-14-2013 at 01:45 PM.. |

Eh, I know. I struggled trying to figure a way to give her a nice sigil on her chest but other than trying to much about with waterslide decals (which I've not had good success with), there wasn't much I could do besides trying to paint it and I'd rather just leave it blank.

Great job, mate. I have a question, why not use the Resolute Baroness midsection. It has the same texture and pattern as the photo that inspired you.
I'm a little critical when it comes to Baroness, so skip of you want. I love the idea on the face but the painting needs to be trimmed up. The skin is bleeding into the hairline. In general it's an awesome figure that I'd pay to own. Just a couple of things caught my attention.

Yes you did!
I just thought you were being nice... Trizzie: Absolutely agree about the painting on the head. If I ever do a figure that has a face again (masks aren't as demanding on the paint skills), I'll just commission someone else to do it. Her glasses saved me from showing everyone her terrible eyes. As far as using the Resolute midriff, it never occurred to me to use that part which as you mentioned would have been even closer to the source material. I did use that part for my Crimson Asp custom though, and in a way I'm glad I used the Scarlett midriff just so there's some variety in my customs. Thanks for the suggestions! |
