Your paint matching is spot on. I will try those colors. That skirt is all they had to do to really make the figure 90% better than it was. I really wonder why they didn't do at least that?

If you used enamels on that plastic, it will remain tacky. The skirt material only accepts acrylics. I'm not being a dick here, the colors are spot-on and it works. But if it's not tacky to the touch now, it will be.

As regards using enamels on the rubber skirt material, I mentioned in the first post of this thread that the surface must be primed first with a non enamel. There are various coating products available for priming- acrylic based, lacquers etc. Priming will actually prevent the chemical reaction between the enamel and rubber- the reaction which causes the enamel to remain tacky. Just prime the surface and enamels are safe to use. |

Thanks. I had to determine the ratio of each color to add visually so, it's not perfect like what could be accomplished in a professional automotive paint shop by computer calibration but, the color is close enough that I am satisfied.

Thanks for sharing. That fixes the legs. Now to figure out a solution for that head.

There is no easy fix for saving that head. Several of our customizers here on the TANK have entirely replaced the head and have had good results. Replacing the head seems the better solution than trying to fix the stock one.
