Hello fellow Joe fans!
Wanted to introduce myself to this community with some custom painted and kitbashed Joes. I´m from Chile and only a while ago began to arrive to the shelves of local supermarkets and toystores the newer Joes, so no much experience colecting the very figures and in the customizing field. But ensouraged by the great jobs seen around here, I had to try it..... All were painted using acrylics of various brands and enamel matt varnish as sealer. So, here are my renditions, sorry if they are not that good but hey, we gotta start somewhere Roadblock (V2) Never liked the neon vest and too civilian outfit of this figure, so I painted in tan colours for the t-shirt and vest and woodland camo for the pants. Also painted the MG.... SSGT. Rock and Roll. First Kit bashed head and bullet belts, jetpack duke body painted in woodland camo and jungle boots. Duke (single jetpack version) Used the rock and Roll body (too lame in design in my humble opinion), erased the jersey type collar, Duke head and R &R belt. tan long sleeve shirt. The banner and laser rifle from the kit. It looks to me as a Drill Instructor Duke during PT. He, Rock and roll and Roadblok were my first attempts at customizing a figure............so the results are not the best. |

LT. Falcon (CP)
Horrible paint issued by Hasbro so applied the woodland treatment, jungle boots, and painted shotgun. Flint (Tiger Force Version) Never a fan of the colours given to the Tiger force, and these are easy to find around my neck of the woods. Painted the shirt black, woodland camo pants and the shotgun. Python Officers This were the easier Cobra troopers to find, but the colours....ouch. So, why not paint them in a more operational look, like real terrorist? Let´s see.... Shipwreck (CP) Finally, the figure I like the most. I wasn´t satisfied with the colours given to him in the comic pack, but the accesories were nice and I haven´t find the first edition. So, lets paint! Added a painted white t shirt, and the rifle of the comic pack Crimson Guard. To me looks like a real sailor playing with the parrot while standing waiting to throw a line to the pier....Have to get painted the rank stripes in his arm yet.....maybe some waterslide decals? Sorry for the pics, I had to place my mini studio yet to take proper pics. Thanks for looking and comments welcome! Greetings from Chile |
