Before I begin, I'd like to give a HUGE thank you to 1SGHauser, without whom this custom would not have been possible. Thanks again for your generosity and help, buddy!
Ah, Hasbro...close yet far once again. They get a chance to make things right when it came to an accurate V2 SE, annnnnd they base the sculpt on animated style details (instead of doing the original figure details and going with the toon colors). Well, I don't remember the SE animated design having a building block strapped to his leg, or test tubes on his ankles. With the release of the new 5 pack SE, I figure this is close as Hasbro's going to get. So I decided it was time to make an as close to the V2 figure design as possible First and foremost I modified his ankle straps and added the pouches. I then carved away the childs building block he had strapped to his right leg, and added the drop down holster (courtesy of the CC from the Tripwire pack). Also gave him the back pack from a Resolute Cobra Trooper. I found it very similar in size to vintage Snakes'. Finally, I switched the toon bandolier with the more detailed 25th SE version. I'm still not a 100% done with it to be honest. I still plan on adding the knife sheathe to his left leg, and doing something about his lower right arm, to make it completely accurate. But I already took a couple of chunks out of my thumb getting to this point, so it's good enough for me for now Last edited by Animal Mother; 02-28-2009 at 02:42 AM.. |

I swapped out the legs with the Black Commando SE and gave him the 25th Web Gear myself.

Great job, those little mods make a huge difference. Love the pouches on the ankles and what did you use for those ankle pouches?
Did you get rid of the collar around SE's neck? (It looks like it from the pics) If you have the TRU SE from the red ninja pack use that webgear it looks the best on Snake Eyes IMO Here is a pic of it: Last edited by SNAKE EYES; 02-28-2009 at 03:29 AM.. |

Thanks guys!
MLos, I think I'll let my thumb finish healing But yeah, the more I look it at it, the more unfinished it feels. Definitely going to be done. SE, The 5 pack torso is a new Hasbro sculpt. Along with the Head and right lower arm. I used pouches from the comic pack Storm Shadow that came with Firefly. I do like the coloring on that bandoleer, but it wouldn't have matched the scheme. |

Yeah your right on the color match the one you have looks better. I just hate the green grenades on the original 25th SE. |

I'll probably hit them up with a repaint. I wasn't sure what color to do though. Black I guess is the obvious choice, but looking at your avatar, maybe something similar to the Palisades Bust....
