After a custom paint job, what clearcoat or sealer are you guys using? I feel like matte is the way to go, but sometimes it looks weird if shiny factory injected plastic is next to it.
I hear some guys aren't even using any these days. |

Spray them all down with matte sealer if it bothers you. Most of them will look better afterwards anyway. I use Model Master lusterless overcoat. Works real nice like.

ARGH!!!!! I just used testors matte finish acryl and it left terrible white residue on my completed customs! It's water based so I watered it down to be safe. What am I doing wrong or is that the wrong stuff?
TESTORS is about to get a stinkbomb on their doorstep! GRRRRR!

I have some automotive sealer, I've been using that for the last couple of things I made, but like most, if it's a tight joint, it'll rub no matter what.

I have a Badgers clear flat. Is this more or less the same thing? Any recommendations on how to avoid the milky appearance when using it?
