Hey people!
It's been a while since I've been on the tank...but I'm back! Who am I kidding...no one probally remembers me...sob Ha anyway, I just thought I'd show everone the huts I made out of popsicle sticks. I've been making them for my G.I. Joes since I was 14 and still think think they're as cool as when I built the first. Well I'd really appreciate it if you folks would take a look and tell me what you think! Cool? Lame? |

Nice! I tried something like this once ( a model of Checkpoint Charlie) but failed due to a lack of patience. Might try again now that I see that it's pretty much worth it.

Very nice. Simple but very effective.

good start, I agree you do need to cut the ends off. A trick I learned is to go over the piece with a washed out brown acrylic and then give it a shot or two of aerosol black from the bottom. This will give it an implied heaviness, as well as a couple shots of gray and they will be spectacular.
Good job |

I agree with Unclassified. They look good but the ends are to round.

Thanks everone for the comments!
It seems the only criticism is the ends of the sticks... I can see where making thoes more square would look more realistic, like real wood boards. The only downside is it would make an already long process even longer. But anything worth while is worth the time. Quote:

Good job I'd really like to see that. |

Love it! Me and my friends made an entire GiJoe outpost out of these things back in 1986. We had outposts in the trees, cabins, garages, the whole thing. It was a great time. Nice to see someone else did the same thing!!
