After my latest round of figure customs I thought I needed to do something vehicle-wise. So here is a nice Vintage HISS with a few special modifications.
Looks pretty much the same as a Vintage one doesn't it? But wait there is something odd here. Yup, that's right. She has a motorized tread system I still need to finish detailing the sides with some suspension details. I'll need to go digging in some old armor/car kits for details. This is the switch on the back. I have forward, stop, and reverse. I wanted a turnable radio control version, but I had a terrible time finding an RC Tank which didn't cost an arm and a leg. I eventually found a Tamiya tread and motor kit for about $15 and made a totally new frame for it. The only downside is that the gearbox had to stick out of the front and it also impacted on the drivers seat a bit. Not bad enough to not let me put in a driver though so thats good. Next up some comparisons to an unaltered HISS |

Here are two comparison shots with my other Vintage HISS.
And what good is a motorized custom without some sort of video I wonder what type of custom I should do after something like this? Where did I put that old extra Vamp? -Gary |
