Thanks everyone! Wow what a welcome. I really appreciate your comments.
To answer a few questions; To Jin, thanks man! I also have ordered the Kubrick figure for my next one. I wish I would've noticed that before I started on this one but I think this one turned out pretty well for sculpting over an astronaut helmet. The next one will have the melted face shield. This one was going to have it but I figured I'd start with one that wasn't first. I have more Aliens figures done, just waiting on a few extra pieces for the bases. I made a mold of the egg base so I could duplicate it for the rest of the Aliens figures. They will be coming very shortly. Thanks again everyone. Leon |

I figured out who the base figure was so I'll give a little write up.
The base figure was a Captain Ace figure from the comic book 2 Pack. I had to sculpt over the existing helmet and try to cover up the fact that the clear bubble didn't go all the way back. The way I accomplished that was to make it look like condinsation inside his helmet. The Shoulder pads, Helmet, Chest pieces, arm and leg bands, and shin guards were all sculpted from scratch. The backpack was some old back pack I found laying around with some extra dodads glued on. As for the egg base, It was just sculpted from scratch using sculpy. I used the HOT TOYS 12" Kane as a reference for the egg base. I made a mold of the egg and base and cast more bases for more upcoming figures. Keep an eye out. Again, Thanks to everyone! |

I see Jin already mentioned the helmet...that's great! You did a real nice job on this, especially considering how much is orignal sculpt. Keep up the good work!
