Hey all.
Just thought I'd post some changes I made to Duke, Snake Eyes and Cutter. Nothing crazy, but I think they all look cooler. First off - Duke. Pretty simple change using the Tiger Force Duke hands. A lot of people on the Tank are doin' it. I don't remember which Tanker to credit for the technique but it worked out great. |

Second - Snake Eyes. I got the new Joe 5-pack a couple weeks ago w/ the black suit SE. I wasn't digging the huge backpack he had though. So I exchanged SE's pack with an extra Alpine backpack I had. Cool thing is that SE's sword can fit in the holster of Alpine's backpack pretty snuggly. I think it looks awesome and this is by far one of my favorites figures from this line

Third - Cutter. Another simple change. I removed the GH hat & replaced it with a baseball cap from a Derek Jeter fig. from the Re-Plays line. I painted it dark blue and applied the red "B". I think Cutter now looks true to form of the original fig.

I just love that you used a Yankee's hat and made it into a Red Sox hat.
That's a riot.

It's funny, after so many snake eyes repaints, hasbro finally got it right, except for the backpack. Good job. I will have to do the same.

So, what's the technique for swapping duke's hands? Is it as easy as pulling them out and plugging the new ones in?
Also, anyone have a technique for changing the lower legs on a figure? I want to swap Tunnet Rat's lower legs. As is, Tunnel Rat comes with the convention exclusive CC's lower legs (i.e. tuxedo pants and cap toe shoes). The figure would look more like the 1987 release if I swapped his lower legs for CP shipwreck's lower legs. Hints? |
