I was curious if anyone here has any ideas on how to remove screws that are stripped on the vintage figures. I've tried using a flat head screw driver to catch edges of the previous hole but couldn't get anything. Anyone got any advice on this

One that makes you laugh and probably won't work for small sizes or Good solution under extractors, find the size that fits best with the type of screw in the figure

Have you used one of those? I highly doubt they'll even fit in a Joe back hole.
EDIT: One methods I've used was put some super glue on the tip of your screwdriver, then set it in the screw and hold for it to dry, then take some pliers(I use a vice grip) and use that to twist your screw driver... sounds funny, but it helps and push towards trhe figure as much as you can while twisting... hope that helps... other people have used a dremel and actually drilled out the screw, but then you have to worry about fixing that problem too, lol. Ha...funny.
Seriously though, I've had some figures where the rust has just corroded the screw so bad there was nothing to grab. I've ended up just tossing them...there wasn't anything I could do. |

your basically slowly cutting down the head of the screw until the entire head is gone.

So if you slowly chew up the head the shaft should fall out on it's own? ( man, that sounds naughty...but you get the idea)

A small left handed drill bit will always work. The screw will either back out with the bit as you run it counter clockwise or it will snap the screw's head off and then you can just seperate the body and back out the remaining screw with your fingers or pliers.
