I just tried to order one of these Jeeps and found out that Meijer won't accept orders delivered to Military Bases. I'm not over seas I'm in Texas. This blows!

It's the name of the store that has these Jeeps for sale. They have a couple of other cool cars in the 1:18 scale as well.

Looks great! I'm curious, what mods did you have to do in order to fit 4" figures? Just moving the seats back? I ask because years ago I modified a 1/18 Hummer H1 for some ARAH figures I had at the time. I had to remove the front and rear seats, then fabricate new front seats from sheet styrene. And I still had to install the new seats further back for leg room, eliminating the rear seats completely. I have found most 1/18 scale vehicles are a bit on the small side for 4" Joes.. I keep looking at the 1/16 scale plastic models at Hobby Lobby... Hmm. a '69 Charger...

Now the leg room, I removed an 1/8" off the bottom of the dash on both sides. There are also two firewalls in the vehicle, one in the engine compartment and a short one in the interior compartment front with pedals snapped on. The interior fake firewall is incorrect and also needs to be totally cut out down to the floor of the interior. Now your joe feet can extend all the way up to the engine compartment firewall like the real one. Now you can extend and finish the interior floor. I didn't plan on looking up under the dash so I didn't bother to finish mine. Good luck with you mods and hope this helps Last edited by ltfalcon; 04-05-2013 at 08:17 PM.. |

Bridges your old school stuff to present-day real world equipment.
Even the color looks awesome next to your 6 wheeler. Great job, I want one!
