I know your post isnt a place for my poorly veiled complaints, but in spite of the great job you did, i just cant bring myself to spend close to 11 bucks on a figure that needs almost the same price in parts to be merely decent...
I dont know what happened to me through the last year, if it was the joe hiatus or my new fondness for much easier to find and much more affordable hot wheels or what, but damned if not giving myself a handful of reasons to pass on every joe fig i come across here lately. I hate to become one of those guys that waits for stuff to hit ross, but im seeing all the stuff i had preordered 6 months ago on retail shelves now and its just not speaking to me at all. I guess i just got used to not buying joes or something. I hope seeing the movie brings back some of my enthusiasm but the fact that most of your better part additions came from a discount dollarstore fig is kind of bothering me. Still, honestly, you did a good job, dude.

I don't have this Firefly, do you have to cut the hands off to swap?

You do have to cut the hands off and them drill a hole for the new ones if you want wrist articulation for this figure. It is not difficult at all.

As for Zartan, I got it just to make a custom so I don't even use the lower arms. It's just so weird handling a figure with out at least swivel wrists...haha. It just feels so weird.

Can you still twist the wrists? Or do you have to glue them in?

You can twist the wrists once you drill a hole in the forearms. I've since cut out the forearms a bit more to give it a more sleeved look.

You just have to ensure the holes are big enough. On my Bombstrike custom, the first try, I made the hole too small and the peg twisted off the hands and broke off.

That's what I was worried about (twisting off the peg). Also, if the hole is the right size does it fall out easy?

it stays on quite well on my Covergirl. It does come off easier than a factory one but it'll stay on well enough that youc an display and lightly play with. However, her wrists are small. If you have larger pegged figure, it is less likely to break and you can have that hole slightly tighter.
