Ya know, I thought about this as well. The only thing that I can really think of would be to customize a BMF.

Which air fortress are you talking about? The big blue one with the cobra head on it from the cartoon intro or the flying carrier that was in the movie intro and that crashed into the Flagg?

I want to see the flying fortress as seen in the intro to the animated movie. That guy that made the base, flagg and terrordrome should make it and hang it in his basement. It would have to be huge to accommodate all the aircraft that would go in it.

Even the BMF is too small.
Not that that's stopping me.

There's also a circular saucer type air fortress in one of the season's opening credits, think it was Pyramid of Darkness (don't think it was ever in an episode).

I did some guesstimation based on the size of a rattler. A flight deck of roughly 4 by 6 feet, command deck, weapons bays and so on. A bare minimum air fortress would have to be at least 15 to 20 feet long, 5 wide and 5 to 6 ft high. It is feasible, however if you have that much space and carrpenters skills.

I'm thinking to be in scale of 1/18, the air fortress would be the size of a small room. But would be most impressive if done.
